Atlantic Basin iron ore pellet contractprices fell in the fourth quarter of 2017 on lowerfines prices, especially for buyers utilizing spotfreight references, while other raw materialsprices strengthened over December, accordingto an analysis by S&P Global Platts.Industry formulas using base iron ore finesprices and spot freight rates showed pelletinvoices fell to $94.66/dry mt FOB Tubarao inthe quarter, from $101.92/dmt in the previousquarter. This also compared with $96.35/dmt in the second quarter, all on an averagenetback Brazil basis, according to Plattscalculations. In Q1 2017, calculated invoicebasedpricing averaged $121.02/dmt.
