Brazilian steelmaker and miningcompany Usiminas said Friday iron oreshipments jumped 95.6% on the year to1.768 million mt in the third quarter.Usiminas’ iron ore shipments were up27.6% quarter on quarter.Of the total, 221,000 mt were sold to thirdparties in the domestic market, 708,000 mtwere destined to Usiminas steel operationsand 839,000 mt allocated to exports.
