Singapore—Asian metallurgical coal prices gained Tuesday, as spot cargoes trade moved higher alongside higher indicative offers and bids seen in the market. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol up $2/mt at $158.25/mt FOB Australia, and the PLV CFR China up $4/mt at $169.25/mt Tuesday. A trade was concluded Tuesday for an 85,000 mt of an Australian Premium Mid Vol Goonyella at $164/mt CFR China with early- March laycan, sold by a Chinese trader to a Northern China end-user.
