Asia met coal PLV prices moves in different direction; New bookings emerge

Singapore—New bookings were done to China Friday briefly lifting PLV prices, but the spot market were still clouded with skepticism over expectations for demand of steel and raw materials to take a toll in light of coronavirus outbreak. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low Vol down 50 cents/mt to $162.50/mt FOB Australia, and the PLV CFR China up 25 cents/mt at $172.75/mt. In China, a trade was done for 85,000 mt of an Australian Premium Low Vol Peak Downs at $163.80/mt CFR China for May 1-10. This was done to a Chinese steelmaker.
