Glencore's first-half iron ore trade fell 6% to 32.1 mil mt

London—Global trader Glencore said iron ore marketing volumes fell 6% in the first half to 32.1 million mt. The trader noted iron ore spot prices recovered toward the end of the first half on strong steel output and steel inventory drawdowns in China, in an earnings report on Aug. 6. The price rise followed in spite of weaker global demand outside China from the coronavirus pandemic.
