Atlantic and Pacific Capesize freight rates drop further on falling bunker price

Gurgaon—Capesize markets in the Atlantic and Pacific declined further Wednesday on the back of falling bunker prices and burgeoning supply of spot vessels. The perk up in the Capesize FFA market late Tuesday had seen market sentiment improve but it was short-lived. "It's definitely a weaker market with bunker prices lowering and the lack of fresh cargoes weighing the market downward," a Singapore-based shipbroker said.
