Special report: China's NDRC lauds economic restructuring

China?s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) says economic restructuring at a national level is progressing smoothly and the economy is now on a firmer footing for long-term sustainability - an upbeat assessment likely to hearten the country?s steel sector. NDRC?s views were contained in a recent analysis report compiled by its Policy Research Center and tabled on September 21, the same day that S&P Global Ratings downgraded China?s sovereign credit rating by one notch to A+ from AA- on the overly rapid growth in credit.
