Sentiment was positive in the Asian hot-rolled coil market on Tuesday, as Chinese domestic and futures prices rose amid home market strength, with Chinese mills increasing offers even though buyers in Southeast Asia waited on the sidelines. S&P Global Platts assessed SAE1006 HRC at $418/mt FOB China Tuesday, up $4/mt day on day. On a CFR Southeast Asia basis, the same grade was assessed at $420/mt, unchanged day on day.
