Asian HRC rises for third day, position cargoes entice Vietnam buyers

The Asian HRC market gained for the third straight session Tuesday, even as several Chinese mills raised their offers with traders inundating offers for Indian-origin position cargoes to Vietnamese buyers. S&P Global Platts assessed SAE1006 HRC at $401/mt FOB China Tuesday, up $1/mt from Monday. On a CFR Southeast Asia basis, the same grade of coil was assessed at $403/mt, up $3/mt during the same period.
