Seaborne iron ore pricing stabilized in the week ended Friday, as China enjoyed GoldenWeek.S&P Global Platts assessed the 62% Fe Iron Ore Index (IODEX) at $94.65/dry mt CFRNorth China, up 5 cents /dmt on the previous day and up $1.85/dmt on the week.Market sources had expected trading to be thin due to the holidays, but price levels wereseen to be supported by tight supply and firm demand. There were a few inquiries fromend-users and other traders during the week, an international trader said. Trading isexpected to be sluggish in the coming week as well, with participants attending theSingapore Iron Ore Week, the source said.
