摘要

An experiment was conducted to determine the effects of AM fungi Glomus spp. (Glomus mosseae and Glomus fasciculatum) on the growth of tomato and on the galling and reproduction of Meloidogyne incognita in simultaneous and sequential inoculations. These AM fungi Glomus spp. enhanced plant growth parameters such as shoot length, fresh and dry weight of plants and reducing nematode population especially Meloidogyne incognita. The maximum increase in growth parameter was higher in plants inoculated withG. fasciculatum than G. mosseae. Glomus fasciculatum also showed higher root colonization and this may be a reason for greater increase in plant growth and higher reduction in galling and nematode multiplication caused by G. fasciculatum. This study suggests that inoculation of tomato seedling at early stage with G. fasciculatum may be used as biocontrol to root-knot nematode M. incognita.
