Among various pulses, mungbean is the most preferred ones because it is used for various types of vegetarian dishes throughout the world. Root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita is ubiquitous, polyphagous in nature and causes severe losses in mungbean. A trial was carried out to find out the effect of mixed cropping for the management on root-knot nematode, M, incognita infecting mungbean. Marigold, sesamum, clusterbean, soybean, sorghum and maize were sown with mungbean in the ratio of 1:1. For untreated check, mungbean was sown alone for comparison of various treatment. Results revealed that mixed cropping of mungbean and marigold was found to be the best with respect to plant growth parameters and to reduced root-knot nematode, M. incognita onmungbean followed by mungbean + sesamum and mungbean + clusterbean.
