摘要

A novel method for projector calibration is proposed that is supported by an uncalibrated camera. The use of an uncalibrated camera is motivated by the fact that camera calibration errors may negatively influence the projector calibration results. The principles of camera calibration are used to calibrate the projector by considering it as a camera that acts in a reverse manner. A regular shaped pattern with known dimensions such as a chessboard is projected by the projector, captured by the camera and then used for projector calibration. The re-projection error analysis indicates that the proposed method performs on par with the calibration results of a camera. (C) 2018 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.
