Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday proposed coordinating with the United States on oil and gas markets in a wide-ranging joint press conference with US President Donald Trump after their first one-on-one meeting. As major oil and gas producers, Putin said the two countries "could work together on regulation of global oil and gas markets." Putin's proposal comes after Trump strongly criticized Germany for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline last week, although he was more conciliatory in remarks alongside Putin Monday.
