Green Group Sues Over US Pipe Inspections

A green group has filed a lawsuit in US District Court in Montana claiming that two federal agencies have failed to inspect more than 120,000 miles of oil and natural gas pipelines on federal lands in the US, mostly in the west. WildEarth Guardians filed the suit in the federal court in Great Falls, Montana, against the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and its director, Elaine Chao, as well as the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Administrator Howard Elliott.
