Diamondback Sees Promise in Emerging Delaware Zones

Permian player Diamondback Energy expects to devote more resources to emerging zones in the Delaware Basin in 2018, but said its rate of expansion there and on the Midland side of the tight oil play will depend on cash flow generation. Diamondback is currently running six rigs in the Midland basin and three in the Delaware. A 10th company rig, which it plans to add in the coming weeks, will be deployed to the southern Delaware Basin in Texas.
