Several countries have vowed to fill their strategic petroleum reserves (SPRs) to the brim, but it is unclear how much supply this joint effort could eventually mop up, and logistical constraints will dictate what goes into storage. Saudi Arabia Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman indicated that the International Energy Agency (IEA) could relieve the global market of 200 million barrels by storing it in SPRs. The IEA has said that China, India, Korea and the US have “offered their strategic storage to temporarily park unwanted barrels."
