However, the April increase in imports was likely due to buying decisions made by refiners a few months earlier, when runs were significantly higher. Korea is one of the world’s biggest crude importers and a major Asian oil products exporter. The country took 2.74 million b/d of crude in April, up 30,000 b/d from March, although volumes were down 448,000 b/d from last April (OD May5’20).
