Gas Plant Completed in Powder River Basin

Meritage Midstream has completed construction of its Steamboat 1 natural gas processing plant in the Powder River Basin in Converse County, Wyoming. With a nameplate production capacity of 200 MMcf/d, the facility brings Meritage's processing capacity in the basin to 380 MMcf/d. Company officials said the facility is located on a site large enough to handle two additional 200 MMcf/d processing plants if future market conditions warrant an expansion. Meritage President Nick Thomas said the plant is in the southern area of the Powder River Basin, allowing the company to reach a significant gas market.
