Natural gas forward prices notched another week of gains as earlier weather outlooks remained supportive and short covering continued. Strong liquefed natural gas (LNG) exports added to the momentum for part of the Sept. 13-18 period until cash prices weakened and signs of cooler temperatures began showing up in forecasts. Prices were a nickel higher on average through the upcoming winter, but next summer moved a penny lower, according to NGI’s Forward Look.
