Natural Gas Forwards Volatile as Major Hurricane Delta Nears Louisiana Coast

Big swings continued for winter natural gas forwards during the Oct. 1-7 period, with forecasts for much tighter supply/ demand balances driving prices about 10 cents higher on average for November- March, according to NGI’s Forward Look. Most U.S. markets mirrored the action along the Nymex futures curve, but other factors came into play for several key hubs that either ended the period lower or much higher than other markets.
