Processes for the rejection of a more volatile component than the methane of a pressurized natural gas stream containing the volatile component, for the rejection of nitrogen from a stream of pressurized natural gas containing nitrogen, and for separation
PROCEEDINGS FOR THE REJECTION OF A COMPONENT MORE VOLTURAL THAN THE METAN OF A LIQUID NATURAL G A S CORRENT PRESSURED CONTAINING THE VOTIAL COMPONENT FOR THE REJECTION OF NITRONITRONIUM OF A PRESSURED NATURAL GAS CORE CONTAINING TRUGENIUM, AND PARASS." a process is released to remove a high volatility component, such as nitrogen,of a feed stream rich in methane to produce a product substantially free from the high volatility component. The feed current is expanded and fed to a phase separator that produces a steam current and a liquid stream. The vapour current is enriched in the volatile component. The liquid stream, which has a very low content of the methane-rich volatile component,is pumped to a higher and warmer pressure to produce a stream of pressurised fluid that has a sufficient pressure for the product stream to be in or below its bubble point and has a temperature above approximately 112.C (170.F).
