摘要

Royal Dutch Shell has increased its uptake of gas from Phase 2 of the BP- operated Shah Deniz project by sign- ing an agreement with Engie to take over part of the French energy group’s 25-year contract with Azerbaijan Gas Supply Co. (AGSC). Shell and Engie, formerly Gaz de France, were two of nine companies that signed long-term contracts with AGSC — which represents the Shah Deniz consortium — in September 2013, accounting for the full 10 Bcm/ yr of Phase 2 gas that will flow to Europe. The other seven buyers are Axpo Trading, Bulgargaz, Depa, Enel, E.On, Hera Trading and Gas Natural. Under a deal struck last year, Gas Natural agreed to transfer all of its en- titlement to Italy’s Edison.
