Iranian prices for February-shipment billet soar

Iranian export billet prices soared over the week to Wednesday December 11, supported by healthy demand as well as an uptrend in the global billet and scrap markets. Fastmarkets’ weekly price assessment for steel billet, export, fob ports Iran, was $385-390 per tonne on December 11 against $365-375 per tonne on December 4. Traders placed the lowest bids in recent tenders held by Irainan mills at $385 per tonne fob, sources told Fastmarkets.
