A roadmap for Germany's lignite and coal phase-out may be delayed to January next year from the end of this year as originally planned, according to media reports. Leaked reports said the coal commission expected to finish its task on 28 November including a phase-out date. However, the premiers of the eastern German states of Brandenburg, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt are demanding more certainty over economic support during and after the phase-out of their lignite mining and power generation activities before a date is fixed, according to media reports.
