Turkey’s thermal coal imports drop 8% in september

Turkey’s steam and other coal imports were down 8% year on year in September, and 5% lower on a monthly basis. Total steam coal imports stood at 2.65 mt in September, down from 2.89 mt a year ago and 2.80 mt in August, according to the latest customs data. Steam coal imports in the nine months to September reached 21.18 mt, down 8% from the same period last year.
