India: Market quiet but declines expected

Spot prices for sulphur sales to India were assessed unchanged at $185-190/t CFR pending new sales, and most sources expect any upcoming spot deals to be priced at lower levels. The last sales confirmed in mid-to-late October to both PPL and CIL were within the published range, and smaller volumes to buyers such as Tata are also understood to have been at similar levels. For now, most buyers are comfortable on sulphur requirements, sources said, with no full-cargo enquiries in the market.
