Brazil: Jan-Oct MAP imports down 15%

Brazil imported 7.2 Mt granular phosphates (DAP/MAP/TSP/SSP/NPK/NP and NPS) in the first ten months of 2018, a 6.5% decline year on year, according to IHS Markit data. MAP imports in the 10 months fell 15% year on year to 2.7 Mt, with volumes from Russia flat at 726,566 t, volumes from Morocco down 22% to 642,295 t and tonnes from the US down 37% to 475,789 t. Imports from Saudi Arabia during the period rose 37% year on year to 544,688 t.
