Emerging demand lifts Brazil sulphuric acid prices

New demand in Brazil gave a lift to the country's spot sulphuric acid price this week. Unconfirmed reports of purchases from Yara and Timac were suggested between $100-110/t CFR, while Mosaic is also said to be looking to secure an additional four cargoes before the end of the year. Adding to the bullish picture, chemicals producer Unigel is in the market for prompt tonnes, while Yara - which has already been awarded one acid cargo for August - is also said to be seeking a September cargo.
