Ma'aden Q2 net profit surges 45%

Saudi Arabia's Ma'aden said net profit in the second quarter ended June 30 increased 45% year on year to SAR 517.9 ($138 million) in a regulatory filing on July 27. The company said sales rose 14% year on year during the quarter to SAR 3.4 billion amid higher ammonium phosphate fertilizer, alumina, aluminium and gold sales volumes and higher realised prices for aluminium, fertilizers, alumina and gold.
