Indian DAP import demand slowed this week after the high volume of recent purchases for Q2 arrival and the sharp depreciation of the Indian rupee. At least 1.6 million mt DAP is now scheduled for import into India during the second quarter with some indications that as much as 1.8-2.0 million mt DAP imports have been secured for arrival during the quarter. This compares to around 1 million mt DAP imports in Q2 last year.
