Belgium imported 1.15 million mt MOP in the full year of 2017, a 65% increase on 2016 and the highest annual volume since 2005, according to IHS Markit data. Canada was the source of 334,274 mt MOP in 2017, up 59% year on year, while the volume from Germany shot up to 262,992 mt from zero previously.
