Qatar: Latest tender goes in low $130s/mt FOB

Muntajat’s latest tender for export of 35,000 mt sulphur from Qatar closed February 14, with the tender awarded to a trader just above $130/mt FOB. Based on recent sales and current CFR assessments, there are very few destinations where a sale would be workable at such a netback, although at least one sale of 35,000 mt has been concluded to India in the low $150s/mt CFR, which should leave some trader margin in the low $130s/mt FOB.
