China: DAP players focus on domestic market

Exports of DAP from China are very slow with domestic-market activity high over the last two weeks in the run-up to the Chinese New Year in mid-February. Export offers at $410/mt FOB China and above have yet to garner any bulk-buying interest with last reported bulk deals at around $405-407/mt FOB. There are some indications of sales at $410/mt FOB, but these deals are understood to be for 2-4,000 mt DAP cargoes, with bulk sales over 5,000 mt yet to be confirmed this high.
