Standard MOP spot prices in Southeast Asia were assessed stable at an indicative $240-265/mt CFR though distributors suggested that buyers in Malaysia were no longer able to secure tonnage in the $240s/mt CFR. Most tenders for first-half shipment to Malaysia have been awarded in the low $250s/mt CFR, a distributor reported, adding that appreciation of the ringgit against the US dollar has supported higher prices in sales by producers.
