SE Asia: Malaysian MOP tenders reported at $232/t CFR

Tender awards for standard MOP in Malaysia were reported at $232-235/t CFR this week, with the wider market price for Southeast Asia assessed slightly softer as a result. Malaysian buyers KLK, IOI and KTS awarded tenders between 5,000 t and 14,000 t at the above range to a distributor, according to local sources. Although not verified by the suggested supplier nor the reported buyers, market sources including one supplier have suggested prices in Malaysia were slightly below $235/t CFR.
