Turkey: Urea imports ahead 30% through October

Turkey imported 2.43 million mt urea through October 2017, an increase of more than 30.3% on the same period in 2016, according to State Institute of Statistics data via IHS GTA. Egypt remained in the lead with 1.21 million mt, up from 515,000 mt, and Iran was ahead to 490,000 mt from 166,000 mt. Russia and Ukraine dropped by 42% and 54% to 269,000 mt and 158,000 mt, respectively, while Turkmenistan doubled to 98,000 mt. Croatia was off 12% to 76,000 mt while Bahrain and Romania were at 44,000 mt and 43,000 mt from zero.
