Chile: January-October MOP exports down 14%

Chile’s SQM exported 115,846 mt MOP in October, with the volume for January through that month down 14% year on year at 1.02 million mt, IHS GTA data show. The October figure was up 29% from the same month of 2016 and included 50,503 mt MOP to Brazil, 22,203 mt to South Africa and 15,185 mt to Thailand. In January-October, SQM exported 426,258 mt MOP to Brazil, an 18% decrease year on year.
