Middle East: Demand for China supports granular

Additional demand from traders eyeing opportunities for margins via shipments of granular urea to China has again supported Middle East netbacks this week. As has other regional demand. The tonnage for China was initially planned for transshipment to regional markets via Chinese ports. The severe shortage of natural gas in China and the resulting increases in costs for domestic producers are however now opening the door for trades into the Chinese market as detailed in the China section of this report.
