Japan: Jan-Oct exports down despite October climb

Japan’s sulphur exports for October increased 9% year on year to 101,743 mt, though the total for the first 10 months of the year was still down 4% at 1.08 million mt. As is typical for Japan, the vast majority of the tonnes went to China, which took 83,181 mt in October and 887,791 mt from January through October. The volume for the 10-month period was down 10%.
