CPDC said one of its two Toufen caprolactam lines was shut early September owing to power-supply issues. Caprolactam production capacity at each line is pegged at 100,000 mt/year. Output at the affected line has now resumed, but owing to technical issues it is running at around 80% capacity until the end of October. The impact on ammonia consumption is expected to be minimal, according to CPDC.
