Taiwan: Lower industrial output reduces ammonia demand

Spot ammonia demand remains limited in Taiwan, with weaker offtake from industrial consumers. CPDC reports reduced acrylonitrile and caprolactam operating rates which has resulted in lower ammonia usage. This situation is expected to continue in 2020 with CPDC anticipating a 30,000 t decline in total ammonia offtake compared with 330,000 t this year.
