Philippines: PASAR starts maintenance

The PASAR smelter in the Philippines is understood to have started a scheduled maintenance September 12. The maintenance is expected to last for around two weeks. Recent reports suggested that, prior to the start of the turnaround, the smelter was running at about 80% of capacity following its force majeure, which was declared following power outages that resulted from an earthquake in July.
