China: Buyers pushing for further price increases

Sulphur prices in the Chinese market remained under pressure, with buyers pushing for further price falls in the face of downstream phosphate price declines. For international spot sales, buyers in Southern China were pushing for prices close to $80/mt CFR and buyers along the Yangtze were willing to pay in the mid-$80s/mt CFR. But concluded prices were still closer to $90/mt CFR, with no business yet confirmed below this level.
