Morocco: OCP fully booked on acid

Morocco's OCP is currently fully booked on sulphuric acid requirements, the buyer said. The buyer previously said that its acid requirements going into 2020 were relatively low due to downstream production cuts. OCP was expected to add new acid capacity in 2019 with the start-up of the standalone sulphur burner to supply acid to the existing Line E phosphoric acid plant, which would bring the buyer’s sulphuric acid supply and demand capacity more into balance, reducing its merchant acid requirement.
