Brazil: Granular trades down sharply

A major trader reported a March 18 sale of 10,000 t granular urea off a March/early April loader at $255/t CFR Paranagua. The deal was down sharply on last week’s range at $265- 278/t CFR. The origin of the product and the identity of the buyer were not revealed. The sale followed numerous offers from suppliers over the prior 24 hours in the mid $260s/t CFR, according to local sources. Bids from buyers are since posted as low as $240/t CFR, but mainstream offers are maintained $20-25/t higher.
