Existing graders for separation into three fractions have only one air intake leading to imperfect separation between fine, medium and large grain sizes. In the invention two grading wheels (4,5) mounted one above the other on a common driven shaft are provided, each with its own air inlets (2,3) and its own outlets (16,18) for the graded fraction of material. The inlets (2,3) have adjustable louver type guide vanes (20,21). Variation of inlet air pressure, wheel speed and guide vane adjustment can be made depending on the material to be screened and the grading spectrum required.
