US S. Plains: Distributors win $5/st increase for urea

Granular urea prices increased an average of $5/st this week to $250-260/st FOB Southern Plains, thanks to ongoing demand and a thin import lineup through the US Gulf for November. Some end users held out in previous weeks in hopes that the costs for replacement urea from New Orleans would decline below $200/st FOB again.
