Netbacks drop following India contract settlement

Standard MOP netback price assessments dropped this week to reflect the settlement of a new India import contract price, which fell $50/t to $230/t CFR. Spot sMOP prices in Southeast Asia also declined to $230-250/t CFR from $235-255/t CFR previously. Vancouver standard MOP prices declined an average of $15/t to $205-231/t FOB, with the lower end of the range reflecting the recently agreed China contract price of $220/t CFR and the upper end reflecting standard MOP prices in Southeast Asia.
