US NOLA: Potash prices rising fast

Prompt sales of granular potash barges are reported at sharply higher prices this week, inducing some market complaints about the roll various discounts often play in the potash market. As of November 18, transactions were reported at $230-255/st FOB New Orleans, mostly at the low half of the range. The high end of the range was reported by Nutrien. The producer posted the price offer of $255/st FOB late last week.
